Privacy Policy

1Who we are

Ace Tok ("Ace Tok", "we", "us") is a short-video sharing app operated from Sulaymaniyah, Iraq. This policy explains what information we collect when you use the Ace Tok mobile app, how we use it, and the choices you have. Ace Tok is a service for adults: you must be at least 18 years old to use it.

By creating an account or using Ace Tok, you agree to this Privacy Policy and to our Terms of Service.

2Information we collect

Account information. When you sign up we collect your email address, username, display name, date of birth (used to confirm you are 18 or older), and a password. Passwords are stored only in protected, hashed form by our authentication provider. You may also add a profile photo. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from your Google account.

Approximate location. When you create your account or post a video, the app may request your device's GPS location to determine your approximate city and country. Granting this permission is optional: if you do not grant it, or if it is unavailable, we instead estimate your city and country from your IP address using third-party IP lookup services. In either case, we only store and display your approximate city and country — we do not store precise GPS coordinates, and we do not track or access your location in the background or at any other time.

Content and activity. We store the videos and captions you upload, and your activity in the app: likes, comments, saves, shares, the accounts you follow or block, reports you submit, and verification applications (including your message and follower count at the time of applying).

Social and contact links (optional). You may choose to add links or a phone number for third-party platforms — such as Snapchat, Telegram, WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Discord, YouTube, or an email address — to your profile. These are entirely optional, entered by you, and never required to use Ace Tok. Once added, they are visible to other users who view your profile, so that they can tap through to your account on that platform, except where your account is blocked by or blocks the viewer, or where your account has been banned, in which case they are not shown. You are responsible for the accuracy of any links or contact details you choose to add, and can edit or remove them at any time from your profile.

Streaks. Streaks (short videos visible for a limited time) are automatically and permanently deleted from our systems around 24 hours after posting, regardless of how many times they were viewed. We keep a record that you viewed a Streak so it is not shown to you again, and a count of how many times your Streaks were viewed, for a short additional period for anti-abuse and statistics purposes, before that record is also deleted.

Ace Tok Plus. If Ace Tok Plus is enabled on your account, we record your Plus status and its expiry date. We do not collect, process, or store any payment details.

Technical information. We collect basic device and app information, IP address, and usage logs that are necessary to run, debug, and protect the service (for example, upload counts used for rate limiting).

3How we use your information

• To provide the service: hosting and streaming videos, showing profiles, likes, comments, and follows.
• To personalize your feed: the "For You" feed uses your city and country to show relevant videos.
• To let you share a link to your public profile outside the app, and to let others find your profile through a link you share — this link only reveals information that is already visible on your public profile.
• To keep Ace Tok safe: verifying email addresses, blocking bots with CAPTCHA, rate-limiting uploads and requests, enforcing the 18+ age requirement, and reviewing reports.
• To review verification applications and manage Plus status on accounts.
• To show advertising that funds the service (see section 4).
• To respond when you contact us.

4Advertising

Ace Tok shows ads served by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect and use your device's advertising ID and related information to show and measure ads, which may be personalized. You can reset your advertising ID or opt out of ads personalization at any time in your device settings (Settings → Google → Ads on most Android devices). 5Third-party services

We use a small number of trusted providers to run Ace Tok. They process data on our behalf for the purposes described in this policy:

• Supabase — account authentication and our database (privacy policy).
• Cloudflare — video and image storage, content delivery, security protections, and the Turnstile CAPTCHA used on sign-in and sign-up (privacy policy).
• Google AdMob — advertising (privacy policy).
• Google Sign-In — optional sign-in with your Google account (privacy policy).
• Resend — sending account emails such as verification messages (privacy policy).
• IP geolocation providers (ipwho.is, GeoJS, ipapi.co) — estimating your city and country from your IP address if GPS location is not available or not granted.

If you choose to add social or contact links to your profile as described in section 2, tapping one of those links from within the app will take you to that third party's website or app (for example, Snapchat, Telegram, or WhatsApp). Your use of those third-party platforms is governed by their own privacy policies, not this one.

6How information is shared

We do not sell your personal information. Information is shared only:

• publicly within the app, for content you choose to make public (your profile, username, badges, videos, likes, comments, follower counts, and any social or contact links you add are visible to other users, subject to blocking and banning as described in section 2);
• through a shareable link to your public profile, if you or another user chooses to generate and share one — this link reveals only what is already public on your profile;
• with the service providers listed in section 5, so they can operate the service for us;
• when required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of Ace Tok and its users.

7Data retention and deleting your account

We keep your information for as long as your account exists. You can delete your account at any time in the app: Profile → Settings → Delete account. Your account is deactivated immediately and your profile, videos, likes, and saves are permanently deleted from our systems within 30 days.

If you cannot access the app, you can request deletion by emailing support@acetok.com from the email address linked to your account, and we will process the request within 30 days. Limited records may be retained where required for legal, security, or fraud-prevention purposes.

If your account is suspended or banned for violating our Terms of Service, we delete your content and account data immediately, without waiting for the 30-day period described above. A limited record (such as your account identifier) may be retained to enforce the ban and prevent re-registration.

8Security

We protect your information with measures that include encryption in transit (HTTPS), hashed passwords, server-side access rules on our database, email verification, CAPTCHA protection against bots, rate limiting, and a web application firewall. No online service can guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect your data using well-established, industry-standard protections.

9Your choices and rights

• Access and correction: you can view and edit your profile information, including your social and contact links, in the app at any time.
• Location: you can grant or deny GPS location access in your device settings at any time, as described in section 2; denying it does not prevent you from using Ace Tok.
• Deletion: delete your account as described in section 7.
• Ads personalization: control it through your device settings, as described in section 4.
• Questions and requests: contact us at any time using the details in section 13.

10Age requirement

Ace Tok is only for people aged 18 or older. We ask for your date of birth at sign-up and refuse accounts below 18. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18; if we learn that an account belongs to someone under 18, we will terminate it and delete its data.

11International data transfers

Our service providers may store and process data on servers located outside Iraq, including in the European Union and the United States. Wherever your data is processed, it remains protected under this policy and our agreements with those providers.

12Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as Ace Tok evolves. If we make material changes, we will notify you in the app or by email before they take effect. The "Last updated" date at the top shows the current version.
